Waterfront Toronto Welcomes the Tri-Government Appointment of Kevin Sullivan as Board Chair
January 19, 2026, TORONTO, ON – Waterfront Toronto is pleased to announce that the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario and the City of Toronto have jointly appointed Kevin Sullivan as the tri-government Chair of the Waterfront Toronto Board of Directors. The appointment is for a three-year term effective January 15, 2026.
Mr. Sullivan has served on the Board since 2019 and was designated Chair on an interim basis by his fellow Board members in June 2025. With this appointment by governments, he becomes the third Chair jointly appointed by all three governments since Waterfront Toronto’s formation.
Upon this confirmation, Mr. Sullivan remarked, “Waterfront Toronto is a unique tri-government corporation with an important mandate to revitalize and unlock Toronto’s waterfront. I’m honoured to take on this tri-government appointment as we work to implement Waterfront Toronto’s recently funded ambitious revitalization and housing program.”
Mr. Sullivan is the President of KMS Capital Ltd., a Toronto-based advisory firm. In addition to his decades of experience in financial services and capital markets, he is actively involved with several charities and community organizations. He has co-chaired The Ride to Conquer Cancer, Canada’s premier cycling fundraiser, and is a past board member of The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, Western University and the TMX Group.
This action demonstrates strong alignment across all orders of government and confidence in Waterfront Toronto's direction as the corporation moves forward with the next phase of revitalization.
