The Opportunity: Senior Project Manager, Infrastructure & Public Realm
Waterfront Toronto is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Project Delivery department. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of various construction projects in the Waterfront precincts, including providing leadership, direction and effectively managing and controlling project execution. This position manages against project plans, ensuring project completion in a safe manner, within budget, on schedule and in conformance with applicable standards, specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements. They ensure effective implementation and maintenance of project-related controls, systems, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate large-scale, multi-precinct infrastructure and landscape architecture projects from concept through construction.
- Apply strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills to oversee concurrent projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Act as a key liaison in development approvals (e.g., Site Plan Approval, Building Permits), with expertise in subdivision agreements, municipal access agreements, and handover procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success.
- Collaborate with Planning and Design teams to shape creative direction and resolve constructability and cost challenges.
- Champion design excellence and sustainability in public realm projects through a collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach.
- Manage the regulatory approval process with agencies such as the City of Toronto, TRCA, and the Ministry of the Environment.
- Support the implementation of environmental risk management strategies in line with completed Risk Assessments.
- Demonstrate expertise in construction dewatering methods, effluent treatment, and geotechnical ground improvement in complex urban environments.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of seven years’ professional experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to oversee the day-to-day production of project deliverables.
- Skilled in managing projects within fixed budgets and approved schedules.
- Experienced in both design and construction administration across complex, multi-phase projects.
- Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, government agencies, and the public.
- Possess a thorough understanding of construction dewatering means and methods and effluent treatment options.
- Experienced in implementing geotechnical ground improvement solutions in complex environments.
- A post-secondary degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, or related technical field such as Architecture, Landscape Architecture.

Other Considerations:
During this time, Waterfront Toronto is operating in a hybrid work environment. Employees are currently required to work in our office three days per week and have the option to work remotely for the remainder of the week. This is subject to change by the Corporation.
