Construction Notice 

Eastern Avenue Road and Stormwater Infrastructure Work Beginning October 22 

Beginning October 22, crews will begin road and stormwater infrastructure work on Eastern Avenue. Construction activities will include cutting and removing sections of the road, excavation, moving construction materials and compacting the ground. Work hours will be between 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Nearby residents and businesses may hear noise and vibration associated with heavy construction equipment, including road cutting and excavation, moving materials, ground compaction and backup alarms. Some activities, such as cutting and breaking the road surface, may be louder but will occur intermittently. 

Motorists should expect intermittent lane reductions on Eastern Avenue in both directions. One lane will remain open in each direction during this work. From October 26 to November 17, construction activities will transition from daytime to overnight work hours. 

Overnight work will take place near the entrance to the Eastern Avenue DVP on-ramp between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. To safely complete this work and minimize impacts to daytime traffic, the on-ramp will be closed overnight during these hours. Nearby residents may hear controlled noise and vibration associated with this work.

Overnight Work Under the Eastern Avenue Bridge Beginning in November 

As previously communicated in Construction Notice 10 - September 2026, excavation and drilling under the Eastern Avenue Bridge on the east side was meant to begin overnight on October 19 to support utility infrastructure. Due to permitting and design delays, this work is now anticipated to begin in November and will take place during the day between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. More details on this work will be shared shortly.

Early-Morning Deliveries on Eastern Avenue in October and November 

Occasional construction deliveries will take place on Eastern Avenue throughout October and November, between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Nearby residents and businesses may hear intermittent noise associated with delivery vehicles, including backup safety alarms.
