Wow, a new island! That's pretty cool.
A fishy just jumped. I saw people in bathing suits heading that way.
The zipline looks pretty cool.

So many different things for kids to do—climbing, exploring, working together. [Music]

[DESCRIPTION: The camera cuts back to a parent and child amongst wooded space. A large owl-shaped play structure towers over the playground.]

[AUDIO:]

It's pretty much checking all the boxes that you'd have for a playground.

We knew that this park was new. We thought it was such a lovely day and wanted to go on a little bike ride.

[AUDIO:]
Ended up here.

[DESCRIPTION: A person stands in front of a wooden play structure and speaks into a microphone. The shot changes to a reaching racoon play structure.]

[AUDIO:]
We love exploring new, uh, parks in the city. This is definitely what drew us over here today.

[DESCRIPTION: A child rides a zipline toward the camera. The shot changes to two children and an adult looking around and speaking.]

[AUDIO:]
Well, look, it just makes a little ding. We'll have to find it. We'll have to try it.

[DESCRIPTION: A child climbs a pole and strikes a blue metal bell.]

[AUDIO:  Bell makes a "ding" sound.]

[DESCRIPTION: A person speaks into a microphone while looking at the camera.]

[AUDIO:]
I feel like a tourist in my own neighbourhood. This is so cool.

[DESCRIPTION: People sit in an amphitheater area surrounding a large  owl, play structure and stage watching a musical performance.]

[AUDIO:]
And I've already taken selfies with the little beavers over there.

[DESCRIPTION: People walk hand-in-hand along a park path.]

[AUDIO:]
We heard about it because there's been lots of excitement and fanfare about this new park opening up.

[DESCRIPTION: A family sits beside the river and wetland area, then plays on the swings.]

[DESCRIPTION: Aerial shot zooms in to reveal the  playground area.]

[AUDIO:]
I also like the area where you can get to pump water and then it shoots up.

[DESCRIPTION: Children use a water pump, causing water to shoot out.]

[DESCRIPTION: A person speaks into a microphone while sitting on the grass. A dog lies nearby.]

[AUDIO:]
It's massive. I wasn't expecting it to be so big—and it's not even done yet.

[DESCRIPTION: Wide shot of the owl play structure surrounded by park seating. Camera transitions to person child on swing.]

[AUDIO:]
We came down and we did the little loop along the water, and we loved walking along that path.

[DESCRIPTION: Sunset aerial view of the river.]

[AUDIO:]
Do you know that you're actually standing on an island right now?

[DESCRIPTION: Two people speak into a microphone and nod.]

[AUDIO:]
Do you know that you're actually standing on an island right now?
Yes.

[DESCRIPTION: A person looks around while speaking into a microphone.]

[AUDIO:]
Uh, no, I didn’t realize. I know I drove over some bridges, but that’s pretty cool.

[DESCRIPTION: Two people sit on a log within the park.]

[AUDIO:]
Yeah. No, no, we didn’t.

[DESCRIPTION: A person pumps water while looking up.]

[AUDIO:]
Island?!

[DESCRIPTION: Two people stand next to each other in the park.]

[AUDIO:]
So, have you had a chance to explore the park?

We’ve been to both dog parks.

[DESCRIPTION: A dog sits in an inflatable boat in front of the “Welcome to Biidaasige Park” sign. Two people throw a ball for a dog nearby.]

[AUDIO:]
He had a good run.
What are you excited for in the future of Ookwemin Minising?

[DESCRIPTION: People on stilts walk through the park.]

[AUDIO:]
A combination of a park, playground, and a library.

[DESCRIPTION: Two people sitting on a log in the park.]

[AUDIO:]
It’d be nice to have a library and a community center as well.
For, like, a parent, it gives you all of the things that you're looking for. Read a book, have a little reset, and then go back out.

[DESCRIPTION: Aerial view of the park and river at sunrise, facing west. Cuts back and forth between park goers speaking into microphone and aerial view of park.]

[AUDIO:]
Uh, I imagine walking and biking trails.
Right now, I could imagine an ice cream store—that would be really great.
I could imagine any sort of mixed housing over there would be great.

[DESCRIPTION: A family sits near the water. A person rides the zipline.]

[AUDIO:]
But this is the best park I’ve ever seen.
I’m excited to come back often.

[DESCRIPTION: Three children play on a wooden play structure.]

[AUDIO:]
If you like zipline, then you should come. Yes.
