This is a historic milestone for not just our east waterfront communities but for the whole city, and it is so important that we have community infrastructure that comes alongside growth. A hub in the community that they can count on from day one.]

[AUDIO: We're very excited to announce a Toronto Public Library and the City of Toronto’s 102nd branch. The community will have lots of say in how the library will take shape. We do extensive community consultation, and we really want to hear from the community in terms of what they want with respect to services. The impact of the library is just so far reaching for newcomers, for children, for teens. It's just a space that the community can come together. So, we do really want to make sure that we're serving all the needs of the community and where the gaps are and where we can meet those needs.]

[AUDIO: Whenever we start designing and thinking about our communities, we think about what makes a complete community. A community hub is really important. It's a place for people to come together, to meet, to get support, to share with one another. The library is the ultimate community hub. It brings together all the supports people need. It brings kids, it brings adults, it brings seniors all together in activities and story time. So, a huge partnership with the library and our development partner in the City of Toronto to bring that as an anchor to not just Quayside, it's going to be an anchor to the entire Eastern Waterfront.]
