Construction Notice: Road Closure 

 

Lake Shore Boulevard East – Overnight Lane Reductions and DVP Ramp Closures for Final Paving Work 

 

Over the next two weeks, overnight work will take place on Lake Shore Boulevard East to complete final top-layer asphalt paving, marking the last stage of the roadworks.

Work will occur nightly between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM. During this time, one lane in each direction will remain open at all times. Paving will be completed one direction at a time, while the opposite direction remains fully open.

In addition, there will be two overnight closures of the Lake Shore Boulevard East / Don Valley Parkway (DVP) on/off ramps between Wednesday, May 13 and Friday, May 15, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The specific closure nights will be confirmed based on weather conditions. 
 

Traffic Adjustments:

 

Lake Shore Boulevard East

  • Overnight lane reductions will be in place.
  • One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
  • Work will occur in one direction at a time to maintain traffic flow.
     

Lake Shore / DVP On/Off Ramps

  • Two overnight closures of select Lake Shore Boulevard East and DVP on/off ramps will occur between May 13–15 (exact nights to be confirmed).
  • Closures will take place between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM only.
  • The DVP mainline will remain fully open at all times.
     

Daytime Impacts

  • No impact during daytime hours.
  • All lanes and ramps will reopen each morning before peak travel periods.
     

Pedestrian & Cyclist Access

  • Sidewalks and multi-use paths will remain open and accessible throughout the work.
     

Safety and Management

To ensure the safety of workers and the public:

  • Traffic control measures and signage will be in place.
  • Please follow all posted signage and directions from on-site personnel.
