Traffic Notice

 

New Intersection at Booth Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard East Opens March 9, 2026 


On Monday, March 9 a new intersection with traffic signalling will open at Lakeshore Boulevard East and Booth Avenue to deliver both traffic and safety improvements to the area. This will include: 
 

  • New turn lanes (including southbound left and eastbound left movements)
  • A new pedestrian crossing on the east side of the intersection to allow for better access to McCleary Park and local businesses (mid-block crossing between Carlaw Ave and Don Roadway)
  • Three through lanes in each direction on Lake Shore Blvd East (from Sauter St to Carlaw Ave)
