Traffic Notice
Lake Shore Boulevard East Westbound Lanes Closed from Don Roadway to Cherry Street on Saturday, January 17 for a Watermain Installation on the Lake Shore Bridge
On Saturday, January 17, there will be a one-day closure of Lake Shore Boulevard going westbound between Don Roadway and Cherry Street. This work is to support the installation of the watermain along the Lake Shore Bridge. In the event of inclement weather, work will be rescheduled to Saturday, January 24. This work is anticipated to take place during the day of Saturday, January 17.
- Traffic Adjustments:
1. Westbound Lake Shore Blvd East
Lake Shore Blvd East starting at Don Roadway (the Lake Shore Bridge) will be closed to all westbound traffic.
Access at Carlaw Ave: There will be no modifications to current traffic movements at the Carlaw intersection. Drivers may turn right (North), left (South), or proceed straight (West) to access Booth Ave, Logan Ave, and Morse St. Drivers proceeding west can also access the DVP and Southbound Don Roadway.
2. Don Roadway & DVP Impacts
Traveling North on Don Roadway:
- -Drivers cannot turn left to travel west on Lake Shore Blvd.
- -Drivers can turn right to travel east on Lake Shore Blvd or proceed straight to access the DVP.
From DVP Southbound Exit:
- -No right turns permitted onto westbound Lake Shore Blvd.
- Detour: Motorists can travel south on Don Roadway towards Commissioners St or turn left to head east on Lake Shore Blvd.
3. Eastbound Traffic
No Impact: All eastbound lanes on Lake Shore Blvd East will remain open and unaffected.
Pedestrian & Cyclist Access
The Multi-Use Path located on the south boulevard of Lake Shore Blvd East will remain open between Don Roadway and Carlaw Ave.
Safety and Management
To ensure the safety of workers and the public:
- -Paid Duty Officers will be stationed at each affected intersection to control traffic flow.
- -Please follow all posted signage and directions from on-site personnel.
