Traffic Notice: Partial Intersection Closure of Carlaw Avenue and Lakeshore Boulevard East starting Friday, October 3 at 9 PM until Tuesday, October 7 at 5AM 


The intersection of Carlaw Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard East will be partially closed starting the evening of October 3 to allow work along the median. Northbound/southbound traffic on Carlaw will be restricted, and eastbound Lake Shore Boulevard traffic will be reduced to one lane approaching the intersection. Southbound traffic on Carlaw will also be reduced to one lane, with right turns on a green light permitted for local traffic only. On Lake Shore Boulevard going westbound, right turns at Carlaw will be permitted, while left turns will be restricted. The north/south pedestrian crossing on the east side of the intersection will remain open. This closure is the last stage of construction for this intersection.

What to expect starting Friday, October 3: 

• North/south traffic will be restricted along Carlaw Avenue. East/west traffic along Lake Shore Boulevard East will be maintained. 
• All lane closures will be marked with traffic barrels or fencing. 
• Access to the Esso station is available on the south side of Lake Shore Boulevard East 2 
• Paid-duty officers will be at on site during the closure to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible.
