Traffic Notice
Update: Nightly Lane Closures on the Don Valley Parkway from March 2 - 6
Nightly lane closures will take place on the Don Valley Parkway (DVP) in both the northbound and southbound lanes between Eastern Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard and the Richmond Street on-ramp. Work will take place overnight between March 2 and March 6, from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. At least one lane of traffic will remain open at all times. Daytime traffic operations will not be impacted.
During the closure of the Lake Shore on-ramp, access to the northbound DVP will remain available via two alternate routes: Queen Street E and Eastern Avenue.
Paid Duty Officers and traffic control personnel will guide traffic control at Lake Shore Boulevard East and Don Roadway to assist with traffic management and to maintain safe vehicle movement through the work area.
Above: Nightly single-lane closures will occur in both directions of the Don Valley Parkway between Eastern Avenue / Lake Shore Boulevard and the Richmond Street on-ramp from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., March 2–6, to support sanitary sewer inspections for the Broadview Eastern Flood Protection Project, with one lane open at all times and paid duty officers guiding traffic.
Traffic Impacts
- Staged single-lane closures will be required in both directions of the DVP during overnight hours, between March 2 and March 6, from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
- At least one lane of traffic will remain open at all times
- No daytime closures are planned
Why This Work Is Required
This closure is required to allow crews to safely inspect existing sanitary sewer infrastructure.
What to Expect
Residents and motorists may experience:
- Reduced lanes on the DVP overnight
- Intermittent construction noise from inspection equipment and service vehicles
- Short-duration activity at multiple locations along the corridor
All efforts will be made to complete the work efficiently and minimize disruption.
