queens quay working group
working group mandate

The Queens Quay Working Group is comprised of interested and locally affected stakeholder organizations who meet monthly throughout the detailed design and planning for construction phases of the project. Topics of discussion will include issues such as streetscape design, bus management strategy, wayfinding and signage, traffic planning and construction phasing.

Members of the Working Group will help the project team by:

  • Acting as a sounding board to share and discuss ideas;
  • Providing input, including the development of potential solutions to any challenges;
  • Acting as the liaison between Waterfront Toronto and their respected group, committee or organization;
  • Receiving updates from Waterfront Toronto and sharing this information with their respective groups, committees or organizations; and
  • Reporting back to the Working Group with respect to the ideas, concerns and suggestions of their respective groups, committees or organizations.

The working group was established through an application process and is limited to approximately 25 participants from key sectors (e.g., residents, businesses, users of the waterfront, community at large and non-residential landowners).

issues tracking sheet

Waterfront Toronto has created an issues tracking sheet for the project that is designed to help us record your feedback and respond to issues. It will be updated after each meeting and is intended to be a living document.

central waterfront public engagement

Waterfront Toronto has created a public engagement process that outlines the range of activities and forums we will use to engage in effective two-way communication with our diverse stakeholder group.

Going forward, public engagement will be structured around four categories of projects:

  • Central Waterfront Wide Coordination
  • Downtown Waterfront Master Plan Completion
  • Statutory Review of Planning Zoning Approvals and EA Projects
  • Detailed Design and Construction Staging

Within these projects, there will be many different ways to get involved. From general community update public meetings to social media updates, Waterfront Toronto will offer a variety of different public engagement techniques.
