Since 2004, Waterfront Toronto has opened 17 new or improved parks or public spaces including:

• Sherbourne Common (South) in September 2010
• Canada’s Sugar Beach in July 2010
• East Bayfront Water’s Edge Promenade (Phase one) in July 2010
• Leslie Street Greening and Martin Goodman Trail Improvement in the Port Lands (Phase two) in July 2010, (Phase one) in 2007

• Port Union Waterfront Park (Western Gateway) in June 2010, (Phase one) in September 2006
• Martin Goodman Trail at Ontario Place in September 2009
• Rees WaveDeck in August 2009
• Simcoe WaveDeck in June 2009
• Spadina WaveDeck in September 2008
• Cherry Beach Sports Fields in September 2008
• Mimico Waterfront Park in July 2008
• York Quay improvements including Water’s Edge Promenade and finger piers in 2006
• John Quay Water's Edge Promenade improvements in 2006
• Martin Goodman Trail from Marilyn Bell Park to Ontario Place in 2006
• Western Beaches Watercourse in 2006
• Marilyn Bell Park improvements in 2006
• Cherry Beach improvements in 2004

Already  waterfront revitalization  has contributed greatly to the development of public space in the waterfront area. This includes the completion of:

• 4.3 kilometers of waterfront linear park space
• 16.4 hectares of new parks and public realm
• 2,876 linear meters of dedicated bike lanes thorugh the expansion of the Martin Goodman Trail

The first completed new building on the waterfront is Corus Quay, the new Canadian headquarters for Corus Entertainment, a leading integrated media and entertainment company.

The 46,500 square metre (500,000 square foot) office and broadcast centre, located at the water’s edge in East Bayfront, opened in September 2010.
