







Waterfront Toronto’s vision is to work with community and public and private sector partners to create waterfront parks, public spaces, cultural institutions, and diverse and sustainable commercial and residential communities. Waterfront Toronto strives to ensure that Toronto becomes the city where the world desires to live.
This Sustainability Framework is the roadmap that guides the transformation of the waterfront into new, vibrant downtown neighbourhoods. Its goal is clear: to ensure that sustainability principles are integrated into all facets of waterfront management, operations and decision-making.
The objective of the marine strategy study is to ensure that the diverse marine uses and users of the Toronto Waterfront are accommodated with adequate facilities in appropriate locations as part of the waterfront revitalization.

The Public Consultation and Participation Strategy is designed to encourage stakeholder participation; increase awareness and understanding of Waterfront mandate; and accurately summarize and report on consultation results.
The Waterfront Toronto Archaeological Conservation and Management Strategy is designed to inform the planning and development review process and to address issues for the preservation and documentation of archaeological resources discovered during the waterfront revitalization process.

This Environmental Management Plan supports the Sustainability Framework through the establishment of measures to prevent pollution and environmental impairment, preserve cultural and natural resources, protect wildlife habitat and ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines.
